Thanh Hoa posts positive agriculture growth in 1H
Total agricultural production in north-central province valued at $803 million in the first half of the year.
The agricultural sector in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa recorded encouraging results in the first half of this year, including growth of 3.87 per cent, or double that in the same period last year, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Total agricultural production value reached over VND18.8 trillion ($803 million).
The winter-autumn crop saw the highest output to date, with nearly 890,000 tons.
Exports of agricultural products in the first half earned nearly $26 million.
The province exported its first batches of lychees to the UK and Japan in June.
Over 40 enterprises in the province export products to 30 countries and territories around the world. Major markets are China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, and some EU countries.
