Thua Thien-Hue to set aside 400 ha of land for social housing by 2030
Central province plans to seek investment in five projects.
Central Thua Thien-Hue province will set aside 372 ha of land for social housing projects by 2025 and 400 ha by 2030.
This is under the provincial housing development plan for the 2021-2025 period and the newly-released housing development program by 2030.
Under the program, the locality will concentrate on speeding up the development of social housing in order to strengthen management of housing development, attract investment, gradually increase the urbanization rate, and promote the development of the property market.
It will build an additional 6.5 million sq m of housing by 2030 and develop nearly 382,000 sq m of social housing by 2025 and a further 476,000 sq m by 2030.
The province has approved investments in eight social housing projects and plans to call for investment in another five.
The scheme is expected to contribute 10,280 units to the national program of building more than a million social housing apartments for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks and processing zones in the 2021-2030 period.
