Upgrades to National Highway 28B to begin in March
Total investment in upgrades to 68-km stretch estimated at $58 million.
The Ministry of Transport (MoT) plans to kick off a project to upgrade National Highway No. 28B between south-central Binh Thuan province and the central highlands’ Lam Dong province in March.
Total investment is estimated at over VND1.4 trillion ($58 million), sourced from the mid-term public investment plan in the 2021-2025 period allocated by the government.
The 68-km stretch will have a roadbed width of 11 meters, allowing a speed limit of 80 kph.
Completion is expected in 2025.
National Highway No. 28B is an important route for developing a sea-based economy and regional economy, helping localities tap their potential and advantages for further development, particularly the tourism development triangle of Da Lat in Lam Dong, Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan, and Ho Chi Minh City.
