The Vietnam Connect Forum 2024 and the 23rd Golden Dragon Awards program were announced on March 28, in Hanoi in a press conference co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the renowned Vietnam Economic Times (Vneconomy).

Scheduled to be held at the Hai Phong City Convention Center on April 10, 2024, this annual international connection event is jointly chaired and co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hai Phong People's Committe and Vietnam Economic Times.

The central objective of the Forum is to enhance connectivity efficiency, boost investment and trade cooperation among localities, international partners, and business communities, while facilitating the integration of Vietnamese businesses and localities into the global value chain.

Under the theme "Vietnam's Pathways to a Green and Sustainable Economy: From Government's Policies to Localities' and Businesses' Solutions and Initiatives", the Forum aims to address pressing issues in sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hieu, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Provincial at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the innovative features of the Vietnam Connect 2024 Forum.

After three successful events in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, the upcoming forum marks the fourth edition, set to take place in Hai Phong City, a pivotal hub in the northern economic triangle.

The event will witness the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Central Committee representatives, Ministries' officials, leaders from 25 northern provinces and cities, diplomatic agencies, international organizations, business associations, economic experts, and over 200 FDI enterprises, and Vietnamese enterprises.

The Forum's agenda will delve into discussions on emerging international trends in green economy, low carbon economy, and net-zero economy. It will also showcase green transformation initiatives undertaken by localities, economic sectors, and the business community in Vietnam, reflecting the nation's commitment to sustainable development.

The Vietnam Connect Forum 2024 will host a series of events, including meetings, information exchanges, and investment promotion sessions between foreign investors, business associations, and Vietnamese counterparts.

The highlight will be the ceremony announcing the top-performing FDI enterprises in 2023, receiving the prestigious Golden Dragon Awards.

For over two decades, the Golden Dragon Awards have celebrated the remarkable achievements of FDI enterprises operating across various economic sectors in Vietnam. The program, with a focus on digital and green transformation, acknowledges businesses' efforts towards sustainable practices and technological advancements.

The past two years have seen the emphasis on fostering a roadmap towards achieving Net Zero 2050, with a particular focus on circular economy practices, technological innovations, and reducing emissions, thereby reinforcing Vietnam's commitment to a sustainable future.
