Vietnam Gameverse 2025 has achieved remarkable milestones, with its scale expanding to over 100 participating units and booths—double that of last year and five times that of the inaugural edition, said an official.

Mr. Le Quang Tu Do, Director General of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information under the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, highlighted these achievements at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Game Forum on May 26.

For the first time, multinational corporations and major game companies, including Apple, Meta, Google, ROBLOX, and Riot Games, have participated, working alongside regulatory agencies and engaging in extensive exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese game businesses.

“This success is driven by the unprecedented convergence of five key 'game universes': the state, publishers, developers, investors, and educational institutions—all joining forces to advance Vietnam’s gaming industry," Mr. Do stated.

"These records affirm Vietnam Gameverse’s growing regional significance and solidify Vietnam as a new global gaming destination. The dream of reaching the stature of ChinaJoy and G-Star is no longer distant—hopefully, it will become a reality within the next five years.”

Ms. Laura Li, Head of eSports for the Asia-Pacific region at Riot Games, emphasized that eSports is more than just a passion—it is a viable career path that nurtures teamwork, strategic thinking, and adaptability in competitive environments.

“Vietnam is emerging as a dynamic eSports hub in the region. Teams like GAM, Team Secret Whales, and Crazyguy regularly compete in international tournaments. The potential of eSports tourism is significant—major tournaments draw thousands of international spectators to host cities, creating positive ripple effects for the economy, culture, and community,” Ms. Li affirmed.
