Some 76 businesses from Vietnam enter the list this year, with total revenue of more than $160 billion.

Three member companies of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) have been named among the 500 biggest enterprises in Southeast Asia (Fortune Southeast Asia 500) by Fortune – an American global business magazine, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.

They are Viettel Global Investment JSC (Viettel Global), Viettel Post JSC, and Viettel Construction JSC, with only Viettel Global entering the ranking for the first time.

The ranking, the second of its kind, is based on fiscal year 2024 revenue and criteria on growth rates and contributions of enterprises to the regional economy.

Vietnam has 76 businesses on the list this year, with total revenue of more than $160 billion.

According to Fortune, the second annual Fortune Southeast Asia 500 provides a snapshot of a region ready to take advantage of global supply chain shifts and booming industries like mining, EVs, and AI.

The seven countries in last year’s inaugural Southeast Asia 500 list - Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia - return in 2025 and continue to make their mark on the region’s economy. Together, the Southeast Asia 500 companies are playing an increasingly important role in global supply chains - capturing manufacturing capacity shifting from China, which is drawing significant capital flows and reshaping global trade dynamics.
