Hanoi finalizes investment plan for route section connecting to Gia Binh Airport

The full length of the route connecting Hanoi center to Gia Binh Airport is approximately 35.5 km.

Hanoi People's Committee Vice Chairman Duong Duc Tuan has made a  conclusion on the investment plan for the construction of the section within Hanoi's territory (Hanoi section) of the projected road connecting the capital city to Gia Binh Airport, which is under construction in the neighboring provinve of Bac Ninh, according to a notice announced by the Committee's Office on March 25.

The conclusion was based on Proposal Document No.1017, dated March 19, 2025, submitted by the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture. 

Accordingly, from Bac Ninh province, the Hanoi section of the projected road will cross the Duong River and align with the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, then pass through the Trung Mau railway station area  to the intersection between the Hanoi - Lang Son Expressway and the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway/Ring Road 3; then merge with the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway/Ring Road 3 and extend to the approach road of the Tu Lien Bridge, leading toward Hanoi center. 

The Hanoi section spans 14 km, of which 7 km will be newly constructed, while the remaining 7 km will coincide with the existing Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway/Ring Road 3.
