Hanoi is synchronously implementing the following types of planning: adjusting the master plan on construction in the city; completing coverage of subdivision planning; strengthening detailed planning and urban design; and completing and implementing planning for underground and overhead space.

The Hanoi People’s Committee has approved the outline of the “Surveying and assessing the current situation and proposing solutions to strengthen the management and operations of urban areas after investment” project. The capital currently has more than 350 urban areas on a total area of about 2,500 ha.

A list of 147 of the best cities in the world to combine work and play has been released by Holidu, a British website specializing in international tourism. Three Vietnamese cities appear: Hanoi, ranked 18th, Ho Chi Minh City 21st, and Hoi An 32nd.

Hanoi has failed to pay adequate attention to the vast area along the Red River. It has become time for the city to use the potential the river possesses and make it a symbol of Hanoi.

The Ministry of Transport has proposed two options for conducting regular domestic flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from October 10, to avoid major damage to the aviation sector as well as the national economic recovery plan.

Masterise Homes has signed an agreement with Marriott International on building super-luxury Ritz-Carlton branded residences in Hanoi. The project is expected to come into operation by the end of 2023.

Hanoi is taking steps to develop into the future under the multi-center model. Many experts expect the capital to gradually change in the same way many major cities around the world have changed.
