More than 570 ha of land is unused in Vung Tau city in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, including alluvial land along rivers, the sea, and sandy beaches. It is expected that, by 2030, the city will no longer have any unused land.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has approved the investment policy for the first phase of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway project, with a total length of 53.7 km and investment of VND18.8 trillion ($822.89 million), to be built under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The expressway will play an extremely important role in connecting major economic and urban centers.
