Though Vietnam’s game industry is considered to have major potential and is already one of the spearheads of the digital economy, analysts have said that the existing legal framework for the industry is behind development reality, especially given new technology trends.
Vietnam’s fintech (financial technology) market has posted notable growth over recent years and introduced a diverse range of services. The legal framework for intermediary payment services and fintech is lacking and inconsistent, however, resulting in fintech companies operating primarily under the Corporate Law and the Civil Law and with many activities not regulated by any law.
Though Vietnam’s corporate bond market is quite young, it is rapidly growing in size. The Ministry of Finance is coordinating with other ministries and branches to strengthen supervision in the financial market, and the corporate bond market’s legal framework is gradually improving, providing a platform for sustainable growth into the future.
