Exports to Mexico hit $4.53bln in 2022

Mexico is Vietnam’s second-largest trading partner in Latin America.

Vietnam posted export turnover of $4.53 billion with Mexico in 2022, bringing two-way trade revenue to over $5.42 billion, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

There remains ample space for the two countries to boost commercial cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, telecommunications, high-tech agriculture, and high value-added industry, analysts told a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City on March 23.

Mexico is currently Vietnam’s second-largest trading partner in Latin America while Vietnam is Mexico’s eighth-largest in Asia.

Vietnam mainly exports seafood, coffee, rubber, telephones and components, and auto parts to Mexico and imports beef, pork, farm produce and beverages from the country.
