The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has decided to impose an anti-dumping tax of 10.64 per cent for five years on certain H-shaped steel products originating from Malaysia. The tax is lower than the 22 per cent applied on H-shaped steel imported from China.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has suggested a number of measures to support businesses amid Covid-19, such as exemptions and reductions on or payment extensions for land and infrastructure rentals, and grace periods and extensions for or the postponement of tax and fee payments.
Many businesses and industrial clusters (ICs) have not yet finished general waste treatment works due to time-consuming and costly legal procedures. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will soon inspect and closely supervise ICs causing pollution and will handle those that are inefficient, violate the law, or unsuitable for actual local conditions. It has also directed that operating ICs complete investments in concentrated waste-water treatment works before January 1, 2024.
The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIT) and Asian Development bank have signed an MoU regarding the development of digitalization in Vietnam including digital government, digital economy and digital society, bringing the digital economy to 20 per cent of GDP by 2025.
