On December 9, 2024, Bamboo Capital Group (Vietnam), Foxlink (Taiwan), and Micro Electricity (Taiwan) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to propel advancements in renewable energy technologies and solutions. This collaboration will focus on leveraging each partner’s strengths to enhance energy innovation and provide cutting-edge solutions for Bamboo Capital’s renewable energy projects and other clients across the ASEAN region.

As part of the agreement, the three companies will form a joint venture by June 2025. This platform will focus on developing Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Energy Blockchain Technology (EBT). Aiming to optimize Bamboo Capital’s renewable energy portfolio, the partnership will pilot Photovoltaic Operation & Maintenance (PV O&M) and intelligent EMS solutions, targeting projects with a capacity between 100 and 300 MWp. In addition, the joint venture will expand into carbon credit services and International Renewable Energy Certificates (IRECs), advancing sustainability initiatives in the region.

As a leading renewable energy developer in Vietnam, Bamboo Capital will contribute its extensive market expertise and established energy project portfolio as Vietnam’s leading renewable energy developer. Micro Electricity will bring integrated energy management technologies to elevate operational efficiency, while Foxlink will use its expertise in high-tech manufacturing to optimize solutions and attract international investment. This collaboration aims to drive high-tech companies to relocate production facilities to Vietnam, further bolstering the nation’s industrial ecosystem.

The initial phase of this partnership will prioritize the establishment of the joint venture and the implementation of green energy solutions. A key focus will be on renewable energy projects under the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) model, meeting the increasing demand for clean energy from Vietnam’s burgeoning high-tech industries.

He expressed optimism that the partnership would create significant value for all stakeholders, contributing to the development of local communities and advancing national sustainability goals.

For his part, Micro Electricity Chairman Mindi Wang stressed the alignment in vision among the three companies, quoting, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together,” to emphasize the collaborative spirit underpinning the partnership. He reaffirmed the commitment to ambitious achievements and long-term community benefits.

Foxlink Chairman James Lee emphasized the importance of intellectual property and product differentiation in competing within a global market. He praised the collaboration for going beyond energy production to creating a comprehensive ecosystem, asserting that this integrated approach would help overcome challenges and establish a leadership position in renewable energy innovation.

Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) is a diversified Vietnamese conglomerate with a robust ecosystem spanning renewable energy, real estate, infrastructure, financial services, and pharmaceuticals.
